This gun accessories article concerns grips used on firearms and cleaning kits for your firearms.
Grip – Believe it or not, there are quite a few options when it comes to gun grips. These grips are gun accessories sold separately from stock firearms.
A vertical grip is available for use with the M16/M4. It’s short to prevent interference with operation. It is also made rounded and ribbed to provide comfort of use. A cheaper option is this rifle grip made by CAA.
But how can you get more “grip” without replacing your grip? One option is getting a “grip glove.” It’s a flexible Decelerator material made by Pachmayr that slides over your gun’s grip and doesn’t require any glue or other adhesive process. Another option is using decal grip enhancer. It’s a decal that you can stick onto your gun’s grip to help you keep a better hold on your gun.
Cleaning Kit – This may sound like the least important part of a gun, and it may be odd to include it as a category of gun accessories (since it’s not an actual part of a gun), but it is extremely essential. Without cleaning your gun, it would not work properly.
You can actually get cleaning kits that are specific to certain firearms. They contain the proper cleaning tools that fit small areas of the gun that need to be cleaned. This is a kit that’s made just for M16′s and AR-15′s. It contains components necessary to clean the receiver, locking lugs, chamber, shoulder, and neck. Here’s a kit that’s made for M40 snipers. And the agreed upon best gun cleaner around is Hoppe’s No. 9 Solvent.
If you still think a cleaning kit isn’t important, just ask any soldier what it would be like to have a firearm malfunction during the course of a battle. Good thing this military surplus is field tested for you so you don’t have to experience that.
