It’s only fitting that we begin season 8 of 24 with a feature of the man himself, Jack Bauer, his gear & gadgets.  The story of this article, Jack must search military surplus stores and replace all his 24 gear.  This is his his most memorable gear used in 24.

Jack Sack
Is it a man purse?  Is wearing a man purse OK for guys?  The answer to both is NO, to disagree you would have to be a woman.   Jack Bauer is the only character on TV who can match legends such as Chuck Norris and John McClain in pure masculine awesomeness.  The Jack Sack’s purpose to hold the rest of the 24 gear and gadgets.

Aviator Glasses
Can you imagine Jack Bauer in any other sunglasses?  I sure don’t.  These are stylish and are worn by too few people.

Maybe you are hesitant to go after any phone featured on 24 as they seem to run out of batteries just when needed most.  But that is to fill plot holes by the writers, not the actual phones fault.  This is a phone Jack can use anywhere, except when under power lines.

Special Ops Watches
Jack isn’t known for flashy clothes or showing off expensive fashion choices…Except perhaps his watch.  He wears a special ops watch that runs several hundred dollars.  The ruggedness is important for all the beatings he takes, cars he crashes, electrical shocks he gets tortured with, you get the idea.

Pocket Scope
You may be thinking “what does Jack need this pocket scope for?  he has super vision”.  Sorry that is actually Superman, who is slightly less cool and powerful than Jack.

Body Armor Vest
Yes I know it’s nearly impossible for an enemy to land a bullet shot on Jack, but in case they do, this is an easy fix to not kill off the main character of the show.  The one in the picture is Israeli made and of high quality, where Jack’s is of a cheaper variety.

What good are hand cuffs against the enemies in 24?  I really don’t know…

Combat Knife
