You may be surprised to see military surplus and The Punisher together since most of his weapons are custom. The fact is that most of his weapons are customized from US Military issue, and can be purchased through military surplus and regular stores online. Some of his gear is no longer made, so we’ll found the closest things we could. We’ll leave the customizing to you. The apparel chosen for this is pretty obvious with the Punisher shirt.

Punisher’s Gear

M16 Assault Rifle – The Punisher used a Vietnam era M16, the one shown is updated for modern warfare. It is still the .223 Caliber, this Colt Carbine A3 M16 M4 will be able to take all the vigilantes down even better then the original. Planning on putting a mask and chasing down bad guys? Get your M16 and go all out. We here at Best Military Surplus say we do respect the law, but we happen to like vigiante heroes slightly more so.

Browning 9 mm Pistol – For close range battles, this is a pretty standard pistol. You’ve all seen it before, if you want to own it, ImpactGuns sells them online.

This is the tactical and more expensive version of the 45 Caliber

.45 Caliber – You have a couple options with the .45 Cal. There is the cheap version or the Punisher tactical version. If you really want to go all out, you can add the laser site shown here.

Derringer – Not the most widely used, but the Derringer is easily conceilable.

The Punisher Shirt – Where would he be without this? This Punisher trademark t-shirt prevents him from being a generic vigilante, without going full-fledged costume hero. Get your own punisher shirt here.

Gerber Combat Knife – The Punisher carries a Gerber Mark 11 that is no longer produced, this is the Mark II shown. Another good choice is this survival combat knife from Gerber. We assembled our top 5 knife sheath here, and the Punisher shirt makes the life look more scary too .

Navy Special Forces Gear: M40 Sniper Rifle

Navy SEALs are often ordered to go on missions to dispose of dangerous enemy personnel by using an M40 Sniper Rifle. More often than not, these missions are required to be carried out discretely. This calls for extreme stealth, and forces soldiers to be a large distance from their target to stay out of sight. The M40 Sniper is perfect for missions like these.

There are four versions of the gun: M40, M40A1, M40A3, and M40A5. The A5 is the most recent, as it was adopted into use in the military in 2009. The M40 Sniper is modified from the Remington 700 rifle by United States Marine Corps armorers.

Each rifle can have variations involving some of its components, such as its its scope. The A5 has the option for the use of a sound suppressor, or silencer. Another common accessory used with the rifle is a bipod (shown at the right), which ensures the marksman that his firearm will be steady.

The M40 Sniper is a bolt action firearm, where the bolt is opened and closed manually. The rifle has a range of 800 meters, which is about one-half of a mile.

Because of the M40′s success in the field of battle, especially during Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom, it has continued to be the standard issue sniper rifle for the United States military. It’s good to know such dependable weapons are in the hands of our soldiers overseas (and in on our mainland).

Navy Special Forces Gear: CAR-15

The CAR-15 (Colt Automatic Rifle 15) is part of the same family of guns as the AR-15 and M16, and was originally produced by Colt. The term CAR-15 is basically used today for AR-15′s and M16′s that are carbine-length.

The CAR-15′s barrel length is 10 inches, which is half that of the M16. The M4′s barrel is 14.5 inches long. Although many changes have been made to the gun since its inception, it has been used in some form or another since the Vietnam War.

Army Special Forces Gear: M4 Carbine

The weapon of choice for the Army special forces is the M4 carbine rifle. The M4 has its roots in the M16 carbine rifle, which can trace its design to the AR-15.

The M4 has exceptional utility and can be modified specifically for the mission it is to be used on. Components that can be interchanged on the rifle include scopes, lights, and more (search “M4 Carbine”).

Another benefit of the M4 carbine is its light weight – only 5.9 lbs. when empty. Just for comparison, an average 12-gauge shotgun weighs about 7 lbs.

The M4 has the option of having a semi-automatic or three-round burst firing system. The M4A1 has the “full auto” option instead of the three-round burst. The M4 carbine is definitely a very customizable military surplus firearm.

Build Your Own Rifle. Your Imagination Is The Limit. AR15 Builder.

They call it an AR15 Builder. You get to pick from a huge list of parts and put together a gun as cool as your imagination lets you. They have a couple default guns you can use to see how it works, then go crazy.

The examples they use are the Magpul Mod 15, the M4 Carbine and several other classics you can base your design on, or start from scratch with your own gun design. If you ever wanted to design your own rifle or build your own gun then you can put it all together immediately. The part list for this ‘build your own gun’ setup is huge. There are two parts of the gun you design. It’s meant for building your own rifle, but that doesn’t mean you can’t use their pre-made guns. Their have about five pre-made rifles that you can use or modify, or of course a scratch build of your own rifle. Like the title says your imagination really is the limit here.

The coolest thing about the AR 15 Builder is that you can visually see your gun and make it like you’ve always imagined and then buy it. Takes the guesswork out of the equation. Plus, you don’t have to go from site to site looking for parts that you hope will match, the AR-15 is the complete package for creating the rifle you want. Plus how many of your friends can say they designed the rifle they are using?
