Black as a moonless night and silent as the grave. Cold Steel has come out with a series of knives that have some amazing new properties. The Cold Steel FGX knives are made out of a new material called Grivory (a fiberglass reinforced plastic). They are not effected by any weather either.
The reason I’m writing this article is because these knives are pretty cool and I’m going to order a couple of them to try out, and figured you’d like to hear about them too.
Cold Steel claims their FGX knives are light enough to be taped, tucked or tied just about anywhere. One site says they are completely undetectable, so you could theoretically carry one on an airplane. You may have to take off the metal ring on the handle to pass metal detectors though (which may be illegal in some places to have a completely plastic knife like this). If you do try it, drop us a line in the comments box to let us know if you made it to your destination or are in a TSA holding cell.

Many of these knives have gotten mixed reviews from buyers, complaining about their plasticness and cheap feeling quality. They may not be wrong, but they are uneducated on the purpose of these knives. They are not for carving wood knick-knacks or the camping trip type knife. These are easily concealable, stop attacker type knives. Cold Steel FGX has features that are for a specific purpose, and they do it well.

Price-wise the Cold Steel FGX knives are extremely affordable for even small budgets. They are easy to add a couple to your inventory, and for what you get, why not. Might as well before someone tries to make these illegal to buy.
